Job Description: As an on-site Internal Editor, you will work closely with the Pro Applications Workflow Team to provide feedback based on your experiences with the Final Cut Studio during development.
Apple will provide projects of various genres, lengths and formats to complete from beginning to end. Some projects will be solo efforts, while most will require collaborating with other Internal Editors and/or members of the WorkflowTeam.
The primary goal of an Internal Editor is articulating technical problems and workflow issues in order to provide an accurate indication of the applications' stability and level of performance on a daily basis. Getting feedback from the user perspective is essential for both the Engineering and QA Teams during software development.
This position requires at least 5 years of professional post-production experience with Final Cut Pro. Applicants must have expert-level knowledge of offline + online editing, and HD/SD formats. Professional experience with Motion, Soundtrack Pro, and Color is also highly desired.
Other requirements include: flexibility to set aside editing projects to record accurate details of issues as they are encountered, working to reproduce recorded issues so that they may be demonstrated to members of the Workflow Team, and verifying that issues have been resolved.
